Prerequisites
► Minimum 60% marks or 2.5 CGPA in science subjects in annual system and 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in arts subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.
► Minimum CGPA 2 out of 4 or 50% marks in Law Offers and Psychology Annual System.
► No 3rd Division or Grade D and only one 2nd Division/Grade C in entire academic career i.e. from Matric to MA/MSc/BS.
► MPhil/MS/PhD will be preferred.
► Only candidates who have graduated from HEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by HEC are eligible.
► Candidates must have completed the entire education (Matriculation to MA/MSc/BS) as a regular student.

► A candidate who has been twice “NOT RECOMMENDED” by Inter Service Selection Board for Pakistan Military Academy/ Graduate Course or equivalent Naval/ Pakistan Air Force Courses, however, third chance to appear for commission in AEC is given.
► Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board.
► Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested).
► Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board. However, Pakistan Air Force candidates who get medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine medical examination as normal candidates if they are desirous to join other arms.
► Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in Inter Service Selection Board except candidates granted waiver by Director General Parsonnel Administration (DGPA). However, bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in post Graduate General Headquarters/ Naval Headquarters/ Air Headquarters based selection boards.
► Withdrawn from any Academy/ Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.
► Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/ institution on disciplinary grounds.
► Dismissed/ removed/ debarred from Govt Services including Armed Forces.
► Convicted in a Court of Law in Criminal Proceedings.

Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

Registration through internet. Candidates can register either through internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs). The following procedure will be followed:-
Registration through internet. Candidate can register on the website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk Test date and time will be notified on the internet for which the individual should have an email account. Candidates will report the exact date and time allotted for the preliminary test on the computerized roll number slip. A date once given will not be changed. Candidates will also bring all the documents (mentioned in the advertisement) and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test. Candidates must have working knowledge of computers, as registration and tests will be conducted on computers.
Candidates may report to nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centers for allotment of registration/roll number along with necessary documents (mentioned in advertisement) and prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. Candidates will also bring them on the test day.

Academics/Intelligence Test: The Academics/Intelligence Test based on multiple choice questions will be conducted at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers on a computerized date during the registration process.
Preliminary Medical Test: Candidates will undergo preliminary medical test at AS&RCs.
Physical Test: Candidates must meet the following physical criteria at the time of initial selection:
► 1.6 Km Run – 9 minutes
► Push Ups – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
► Sit Ups – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
► Chin Ups – 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

Further Selection Procedure

Further Selection Process
Candidates recommended by the Inter-Service Selection Board will undergo a detailed medical examination at the nearest Combined Military Hospitals. The candidates recommended by the Inter-Service Selection Board will be called for interview by the General Headquarters Selection Board. No traveling allowance/daily allowance is admissible. Final selection will be done at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of overall performance of the candidates.

Candidates will submit the following documents to the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs):
► Original certificate/detailed marks sheet of each educational certificate/degree/diploma along with two attested photocopies.
► Candidates serving in Government Institutions/Departments shall submit No Objection Certificate of concerned establishment.
► Attested photocopy of domicile.
► Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card and verification slip obtained by NADRA.
► 6 x colored photos duly attested (front & back).
► Candidates must bring their degrees attested by HEC/PEC and PVMC.
► Verification Application Forms: While filling the application form by the successful candidate at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centres, it should be ensured that the information in the relevant paragraphs/columns is verified and no column is left blank.
Note. Expired National Identity Card will not be accepted.

Additional Information

Bond. Finally the selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the army for a minimum period of 7 years. The bond will be applied upon successful completion of basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul.
