Nationality

Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan. After the final selection, candidates with dual citizenship will have to admit nationalities other than Pakistani.

Matric/Senior Cambridge/GCE “O Level” (O Level with English compulsory in five subjects) with minimum 60% marks in both Science.
FSC (Pre-Engineering) – Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Computer Studies/Computer Sciences with minimum 65% marks or ‘O’ Level Pass (English is compulsory) in five subjects and ‘A’ Level Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Pass Grade A-C in Computer Studies/Computer Sciences.
Candidates having qualifications like ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level etc. to obtain equivalent certificate and change of marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad and attach it with the application form. Will be. Passed in A’ Level Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies/Computer Sciences mainly in A-C Grade.
Candidates who have passed FSc Part-I examination with minimum 65% marks and appearing for FSC Part-II/Final examination can also apply for HOPE Certificates issued by the Head of Institution. . However, such candidates should submit their FSC Part-II Roll Number and Photocopy of Roll Number Slip with name of the Board of Education to General Headquarters (GHQ), Personnel Administration (PA) Directorate (PA-3b) Rawalpindi. FSc Final Result Cards/Mark Sheets must be submitted within one week of FSC Board result declaration, otherwise candidates will not be counted in final merit.
Candidates having FSc/ equivalent qualification with Mathematics, Physics and Computer Studies or a combination of Computer Science can apply for Software Engineering and Computer Engineering only.

Rejected twice by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB)/General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board or screened out twice by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) Once rejected and once rejected by General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board.
Withdrawal/dismissal/resignation or purchase of commission from the Armed Forces Academy/Training Institution on any ground whatsoever.
Withdrawal from any Bonded Armed Forces College/Institution on disciplinary grounds.
Dismissed/removed from government service including armed forces
Convicted in court for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by competent military authority).
Declared permanently UNFIT by Appellate Medical Board (PUF by AMB). Disqualified by any Armed Forces hospital except those cleared by the Appellate Medical Board. However, Pakistan Air Force candidates who are medically unfit to fly but fit for ground branches may undergo routine medical examination like normal candidates if they wish to join other arms.
Medically ineligible due to hepatitis B and C (cannot apply for AMB).
Withdrawal from any Bonded Armed Forces College/Institution on disciplinary grounds. Withdrawal/dismissal/resignation or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces Officers Academy/Training Institution on any ground whatsoever.
Diploma Holders.
Those who are studying in any Institutes/Academies of Armed Forces or nominated for Reserve Defense Quota Seats/Studying as paid cadets in any of the Technical Colleges of Armed Forces.
Tested within a period of four months (120 days) of previous appearance at the Inter-Services Selection Board except for those candidates exempted by the competent authority. However, the bar of 120 days shall not apply to candidates appearing for Post Graduate General Headquarters / Naval Headquarters / Air Headquarters based Selection Boards.
In case of falsification/concealment of educational certificates to obtain undue advantage, the applicant will be permanently disqualified for any commission in the armed forces.

Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

Registration and Initial Selection Process
Candidates can register either through internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCS). The following procedure will be followed:-
Registration through internet. Candidates can register on the website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. The date and time of the test will be notified on the Internet, for which the individual must have an email account. Candidates will report on the computerized roll number slip for the preliminary test on the exact date and time given. A date once given will not be changed. Candidates will also bring the documents (as listed in the advertisement) and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test. Candidates must have working knowledge of computer as registration and test will be conducted on computer.
Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres. Candidates may report to the nearest AS&RCs for allotment of registration/roll number (as listed in the advertisement) and prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. Candidates will also bring these documents on the day of the test.
Initial Selection
Intelligence/Academic Test. Candidates declared successful in the Intelligence Test, undergo an Educational Test based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Studies/Computer Sciences (for Computer Science students only). will Candidates declared successful in the educational test will undergo a physical test at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).
Physical test. Candidates must qualify the following physical tests:-
► 1.6 Km Run – 8 minutes
► Push Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
► Sit Ups – 20 repetitions in 2 minutes
► Chin Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
► Ditch Crossing – 7.4” x 7.4” and 4′ deep
Preliminary Medical Test Candidates will undergo a preliminary medical test at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).

Further Selection Procedure

Further Selection Process

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) test through website as well as call up letter. Candidates recommended by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) will be medically examined at nearby CMHs. Final selection will be done at General Headquarters (GHQ) based on overall performance of the candidate. Allotment of disciplines will be done on the basis of merit and choice. The decision of General Headquarters (GHQ) in allotment of discipline will be final and no representation or request for change in allotment discipline will be entertained.

Priority of Disciplines.The preference of discipline written / given by the candidates in the application form will not be changed. Therefore, due consideration should be given before endorsing a preference for discipline selection.
Degree Programme.4 Years degree programme.
Military Training.After graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, the cadets will undergo a one-year military training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

Candidates will submit the following documents to the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs):
► Detailed Mark Sheet of Original Certificate/ Matric/ FSC/ Equivalent Certificate. In case of ‘O’ Level / ‘A’ Level, submission of Equivalency Certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
► Attested photocopies of Domicile/ Family Registration Certificate/ NADRA Verification Certificate.
► Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for 18 years and above or Computerized Form “B” with CNIC of father or guardian for candidates below 18 years.
► One set of attested photocopies of both sides of the said documents.
► 3x Color Photographs attested by Principal/Class-1 Gazetted Officer (1x Front & 2x Back).
► Original as well as 3 x photocopies of “Not Recommended” letter from Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) are also required (for repeat candidates only).
