Nationality

Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan. After the final selection, candidates with dual citizenship will have to admit nationalities other than Pakistani.

► Proficiency in Java, Python, PHP, .NET and related technologies.
Academic Prerequisites
Minimum 16 years of formal education (BS/ BE) in above mentioned disciplines from PEC/ HEC recognized institutions of Pakistan/ abroad with minimum of 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0 or minimum 62.5% marks in annual system. In case of a foreign degree equivalence certificate from HEC must be provided.
No 3rd Division/ Grade D and only one 2nd Division/ Grade C throughout the academic career.
The applicant must have completed 4 years Engineering Degree in above mentioned disciplines irrespective of MSc/ MCS.
Candidates only graduated from HEC/ PEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by PEC.
Candidates possessing MSc/ MS Degree and 2-3 years work experience will be given preference.
A candidate with specific higher qualification is eligible, even if he is twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/ Graduate Course or equivalent Naval/ Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Courses.
Candidate once rejected for Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/ Equivalent courses and once rejected in Post Graduate entry can avail one more chance for Post Graduate courses only.
Appearing candidates can also apply on Hope Certificates duly issued by Head of the universities/ initiations. However, such candidates must submit final degree/transcript by 15 Apr 2024, otherwise they will not be considered in final merit.
Verification of Degree/ Educating Documents.
Candidates qualify preliminary selection process at AS&RCs level will require to attach copy of degree/ transcript duly verified by HEC/ PEC along with application form. The candidates appearing on hope certificate will submit verified degree/transcript by HEC/ PEC within seven days on announcement of their result.

Rejected twice by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) for postgraduate admission.
Rejected twice by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Intermediate/Graduate (Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/Graduate/Equivalent) and once by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) or General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ) rejected. )/ Selection Boards based at Air Headquarters (AHQ).
Intermediate/Graduate (Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/Graduate/Equivalent) through Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) and twice by Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) or General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ). Rejected by )/ Selection Boards based at Air Headquarters (AHQ).
Experience of the candidates within four months (120 days) of the interval of appearance at IISB except exemption granted by the competent authority. However, the bar of 120 days shall not apply to candidates appearing in General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Boards.
Candidates dismissed/removed/barred from government services including armed forces.
Convicted in court for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by competent military authority).
Permanently declared UNFIT by Appellate Medical Board (PUF by AMB).
Medically ineligible due to Hepatitis B/C (AMB cannot be applied for).
Withdrawal from any Bonded Armed Forces College/Institution on disciplinary grounds.
Withdrawal/dismissal/resignation or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces Officers Academy/Training Institution on any ground whatsoever.
Forgery/concealment of educational certificate to gain undue advantage will permanently disqualify the applicant for all types of commission in the armed forces.
Candidates who have not completed 4 years engineering degree regardless of MSc/MCS.

Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

Registration and Initial Selection Process
Candidates can register either through internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs). The following procedure will be followed:-
Registration through Internet: Candidate can register on the website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. The date and time of the test will be notified on the internet for which the individual must have an email account. Candidates will report on the computerized roll number slip for the preliminary test on the exact date and time given. A date once given will not be changed. Candidates must have working knowledge of computer as registration and test will be conducted on computer.
Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres: Candidates may report to the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centers for allotment of registration/roll number along with necessary documents (mentioned in advertisement) and prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. Candidates will also bring them on the test day.
The written/intelligence test will be based on multiple choice questions in English, Mathematics, Culinary Studies, Islamic Studies and General Knowledge. Candidates declared successful in written/intelligence test will have to undergo physical/medical test and interviews at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCS).
Preliminary Selection: Selection will be made on module basis for Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB), for which a module is being developed in Directorate of Personnel Administration. The preliminary test with weightage assigned to the module will include the following:-
► Writing/ Intelligence
► Medical examination
► Physical examination
► Preliminary Selection Board Interview conducted by Selection and Recruitment Officer (S&RO).
Written/Intelligence Test: The written/intelligence test will be based on multiple choice questions in English, Mathematics, Culinary Studies, Islamic Studies and General Knowledge. Candidates declared successful in written/intelligence test will have to undergo physical/medical test and interviews at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).
Physical Test: The following criteria are prescribed for all candidates:-
► 1.6 Km Run – 9 minutes (3 Marks)
► Push Ups – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
► Crunches – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
► Pull Ups – 2 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
Clearing all the events as per the above table is mandatory for every candidate. A candidate failing any 1 x event will be treated as a failure in the Physical Test (PT) and will not be issued an Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) form.

Further Selection Procedure

Further Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) tests/interview through website as well as call up letter. Candidates recommended by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) will be called for interview at General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board Rawalpindi. No Traveling Allowance/Daily Allowance (TA/DA) is admissible. Candidates selected by General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board will undergo Full Med Examinations at various CHMs as per the wish of the candidates. Final selection will be done at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of overall performance of the candidates.

Candidates will deposit following documents with Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs):
► Original certificates/documents/detailed marks sheets along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate/degree.
► Candidates serving in Government’s institutions/departments will render No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the concerned establishment.
► Attested photocopy of domicile.
► Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card alongwith verification slip obtained by NADRA.
► 6 x Coloured photos duly attested (1 x front & 5 x back).
► Candidates must bring their degrees duly verified by HEC/PEC

Finally the selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve in the army for a minimum period of 7 years with e-stamp papers of Rs. 100/- duly countersigned by Magistrate / Notary Public / Oath Commissioner.
